Rushall Olympic 1, Shaw Lane 3
Ten man Shaw Lane come from behind to take all three points in the midlands.
Three goals in the final six minutes for the Ducks secured their first away win in the league since early February, in a game they also won by 3-1 at Coalville.
A goalless first half wasn't without drama with Alex Byrne forcing Rushall keeper Joe Slinn to save from an early free-kick. Godwin Abadaki also went close in the opening six minutes of the exchanges.
The Pics then went close on 11 minutes when Michael Townsend's effort at the back post was prodded wide. A minute later and Mathis Fonovich headed over the bar.
On the stroke of half time, in a moment of madness, Jake Picton lashed out at Richard Brodie and was shown a straight red card, putting the Ducks down to ten men for the second half.
Shaw Lane held on to the 0-0 scoreline for as long as possible an effort by Brodie was poked wide on 54 minutes. Damian Reeves had a half chance on 64 minutes for the visitors, but his shot went high and wide.
A powerful header by substitute Andre Landell was blocked as the effort headed towards goal, but then the home side broke the deadlock.
Former York, Fleetwood and Gateshead marksman Brodie slid the ball home following a left wing cross by Daniel Waldron on 77 minutes.
With Shaw Lane desperate for the points to continue their play-off push they hit back strongly in the final minutes of the match.
Substitute Paul Clayton scored the equaliser on 84 minutes for his first goal since that away win at Coalville in February. The veteran striker was the first to react when Slinn parried a free-kick straight in the path of the attacker.
Olly Dyson, on work experience from Huddersfield Town, then scored his first goal for the club with two minutes remaining. The tricky young talent who showed promise in his previous two substitute appearances controlled the ball in the box before riffling it past Slinn to make it 2-1.
Dyson didn't have to wait long for his second for the club as he finished off the game to make it 3-1 and put Shaw Lane back into sixth place, with games in hand on everyone around them.
